For the 2027 Summit, we invite scholars and researchers to submit original research for presentation during the first day of Super South, Monday, March 22, 2027, in Atlanta, Georgia.
Selected contributors will have the opportunity to present their work as either a 12-minute oral presentation or a poster presentation. Submissions should address one of the themes below and demonstrate how research, innovation or new thinking can contribute to a more sustainable, resilient and prosperous future.

Forestry Construction and Land Use
Economics and Financing Mobility
Manufacturing Urban Systems
Policy and Law Other
If your research falls outside these categories, please select “Other” and provide a brief description of your topic and why you believe it is appropriate for Super South.

Research Professionals & Students Welcome
We welcome submissions from scholars and researchers across disciplines, including faculty, researchers, graduate students and undergraduate students.
Students may identify their submission as a Student Submission for automatic consideration for eligibility in the Super South Capstone Challenge.
Abstract Requirements
Abstracts should be 250 words or fewer and clearly communicate the research question, approach and key findings or implications. Abstracts may address original research, emerging findings, applied research, case studies or other substantive work relevant to the selected theme.
The submission form will accept special characters and formatting commonly used in academic abstracts.
Submission Deadline
November 20, 2026, at 11:59 PM ET
The Super South program team will review submissions for relevance, quality and fit with the 2027 program.

Notifications will be distributed within one month of submission and no later than December 2026.

Submitting an abstract grants Super South Summit, LLC rights to publish the text in conference programs, digital archives and/or appropriate journals.
All decisions of the committee of selection are final and at their sole and absolute discretion.
Late submissions will not be considered.
